A traditional Village Show held in the charming village of Riseley. Competition Classes,incl. Fruit,Veg. Flowers,Arts& Crafts Photography. Many traditional English Crafts, Side Shows, Cake, Plant, Preserves & other colourful stalls. Open to all.
‘Living, Loving & Leaving Iran’ – a talk by Jason Harper. Doors open at 1.45 pm, refreshments served from 2.00 pm. Plenty of parking available. Everyone welcome.
Keen wildlife enthusiast, Marion Hession, will entertain us with stories from her trip to Oman, revealing the wildlife and cultural highlights of this fascinating country. All facilities at ground level, parking on site. Everyone welcome, RSPB membership not essential. Entrance: Adults £3

Come and have a go at making Paper Dolls or creatures and their clothes with local artist Lisa Tilley. You can design your own character and the clothes they might wear or you can colour in and cut out one of the templates Lisa’s pre-prepared. Suitable for all. All resources are provided. Suitable for under 12s. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please be aware that space is limited and there may be a wait to start.
Join author Ainkaran Sivaaji at The Eagle Bookshop for the launch of his debut children’s picture book, The Fire Walker. The evening includes a reading from the book, an exploration of the Tamil traditions that inspired the story, and an opportunity to meet the author and have copies signed.

BBC Antiques Roadshow expert Mark Hill’s lecture “Hot Stuff: The Birth of Studio Glass” explores a mid-20th-century design revolution. While glassmaking has a history stretching back thousands of years, the 1960s completely upended how the medium was approached, transforming it from an industrial factory trade into an independent art form.
